St Laurence’s − Keeping in touch
Especially in these strange times, we are making increasing use of technology for us all to keep in touch. As part of this, we have introduced an email list which you are warmly invited to join. You can also of course keep in touch via this web site, or check out our Facebook page.
St Laurence’s “News” Email List
This group is for the purpose of sharing information and consulting with parishioners of St Laurence’s Church, Cambridge. By joining the group, you agree that the personal contact details provided may be held by St Laurence’s Parish and used for this purpose.
Joining the list is a two-step process, to protect people from being added without their consent.
First, you apply to join the list. There are two ways of doing that − please use whichever you feel most comfortable with:
EITHER: using your normal email program (Outlook, Gmail, etc), send a message to
It doesn’t matter what you put in the text or subject line − only the computer will see it.
OR: enter your name and email address in the form below and click the Submit button:
Second, you must confirm your email address, by following the link in the automated confirmation email that you receive. You must respond to that email within seven days, following the instructions therein, otherwise you will not be added to the group.
The confirmation email will be sent to you within seconds: if you have not received it within a few minutes, and you are certain that you have entered your email address correctly, you should check your "spam" or "junk" folders, in case it has gone there. If you still cannot find it, it may be that your email provider has deleted it altogether. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do at our end to fix this: you will need to discuss it with your email provider.
As a last resort, you can write to us at
We can then add you to the group directly. However, please bear in mind that if you didn’t receive the confirmation email, it is highly likely that you won’t receive any future messages either, so it really is best to resolve any issues with your email provider and locate the original confirmation email.
